The frustration of poor mobile phone coverage is familiar to both residents and visitors to Cornwall.

If you are organising an event in Cornwall and need reliable communications then RAYNET may be what you are looking for.

RAYNET provide an alternative way to pass messages quickly to your team.

Unlike mobile phones which provides one-to-one communication (assuming you and the person you want to contact both have a signal), RAYNET are able to send your messages to multiple recipients at the same time.

Working with Cornwall Councils Emergency Management Team, RAYNET offers a communications back-up to facilitate passing messages between the scene of an incident and the Emergency Centre at County Hall.

Typically we are asked to monitor the progress of participants in events such as walks, runs and swims, liasing with St John to direct medical assistance to where it is required.

Previous users include:

  • East Cornwall Harriers - Cornwall Marathon
  • Endurance Great Britain - Penpont horse ride
  • Callington Town Council - Carnival
  • Rotary Club of Callington - Santa Fun Run
  • Lions Club - Charity Moor Walk
  • The Big Swim - Three mile open water charity swim
  • Fal River Walk - Rotary Club of Boscowan
